In this, slightly "came out of nowhere" video, i showcase a 3x3 mesecon door a made a bit ago using, well, the Mesecons mod. I remembered that i had made this thanks to watching an episode by Dee23Gaming here on YouTube, so thanks to them!:)

Note that the Lua code is directional; the door will only work when it's oriented as shown in the video (port A of the controllers pointing west), unless modified. If you want to rotate it clockwise, make all CAPITAL A to B, B to C, C to D, and D to A. To find the code go to GitHub.com and search for "Loppansson/minetest-stuff".
