GIMP Tutorial: Miniature Effect

Today I'll be demonstrating how to make an image look like a shrunken toy version of itself using tilt shift miniature faking. This is an effect that blurs certain segments of an image to simulate the shallow depth of field associated with close up photography

This tutorial is for GIMP version 2.8 and is intended to teach beginners how to use the software. GIMP is a great free alternative to Photoshop.
