Personally, I like the unique art style and the randomly generated ambient music. We didn't have much time for balancing, though, so most players die close to the 140 seconds mark where it tends to get really hard.

We used Allegro 5.0.8 (http://alleg.sourceforge.net) and bits and pieces of our own game engine (undisclosed). Most of the graphics are just sketches on paper, photographed using a phone camera. For the curious programmers: You can check out the source code at https://github.com/oncer/gamejam13
