This week we talk about finishing off work so that it can make it in time for the release. There's a lot of grinding needed to polish off some of these branches, and the last one on my list is this pdf branch, which is very disruptive because the code is fragile and I've changed quite a few assumptions about how things should work in this state machine.

But, with this work progressing, I think people will have a much happier time with Inkscape's PDF import in the future. At least, that's the theory! But if you want to make sure, please do sign up to become a tester, it doesn't take a lot of time, you just download the latest version and then try a few activities. hopefully non-work related. Expect crashes and then report problems to the regular bug tracker tagging it as testing 1.3
