Sometimes I come across a piece that's not concert material, but fun to play (or sight-read) and "The Silver Trumpet" by Florence Norvell is one of those pieces. And, what's more, it's a good example to show how the 4' Prinzipal of the 1858 Keller organ can be used instead of a trumpet stop (which the organ doesn't have). According to my copy of the piece, Florence Norvell was born in 1870 and died in 1952. The piece is in the Library of Congress, and it was originally published in 1884. Now, either Florence wrote this piece when she was 14 years old or the dates I have aren't correct. Anyway, I hope you'll have as much fun listening as I had fun playing.
