#SchumanShow What happens when EU leaders decide who gets the top jobs in Brussels? In our case, they break into song! In this sketch, The Schuman Show parodies Europe’s power players in a light-hearted debate that spirals into a reimagined version of "Sweet Child of Mine," humorously titled "Europe, Don’t Go Too Far Right."
2024 really is the year of elections in Europe, and the current political landscape - where shifts towards the right are becoming more common - is concerning. So, as a comedy show, of course we'll make a sketch about it! Here you'll find a lighthearted take on serious times, perfect for anyone who needs a break from the news cycle - or a reinterpretation of it, at least.
Can a song capture the complex dynamics of Europe's shifting political landscape? Or is it just a clever jab at the growing conservative tide? Find out for yourself!
✨ Written by Barry McKeon, and performed by Tristan Barber, Barry McKeon, Louise Day, Kelly Agathos, Jessi Schmale, Paul Dallison, Daniel Mora, Meyas Al Mansour, and Saeed Director Gabriel Soler. Theatre coach & Choreographer Edward McMillan.
