In this session, challenges and practical skills for engaging with policy makers were discussed, including

• The role of scientists for informed policy making
• Needs of Policy makers on order to develop policies based on scientific evidence
• Skills needed for the scientists to better engage with policy makers

The 1st Europlanet Research Infrastructure Meeting (ERIM), co-hosted with the 5th EPEC Annual Week 2023 (the training school for the Europlanet Early Career Network), took place from 19-23 June 2023 in Bratislava, Slovakia, and online.
