In Japan we drive on the left side. The law requires bicyclist to ride on the left side, the same as cars, if they are in the road. The same laws for passing cars are applicable to passing bicyclists. You may not pass in a no-passing zone and you may not pass in an intersection like this idiot did. You must yield the right of way to vehicles (including bicycles) when you exit private property to enter a public road.
