Rodolfo Ostilla Monico of the socialist planning collective Cibcom speaks in a training about democratic socialist planning and the role cybernetics play in this.

Cibcom is an interdisciplinary research group dedicated to exploring the possibilities for socialist planning of the economy under current technological conditions within the perspectives provided by Cockshott, Zachariah, Machover, Dappirich, and others. In his talk, Rodolfo will present the ideas on which they have united, alongside the areas of work of the collective, which, in addition to planning, include areas such as ecology, direct democracy, the future organization of care-related work and urbanism. We will discuss the basic problems, technical tools and institutional features of socialist economic planning, from theory to practice and back to theory to discover and contain ways in which we might organize production and distribution based on socialist principles.
