Felt like uploading something, and speedpaints aren't too hard to make, compared to other kinds of videos. Well, when you have a decade's experience with digital painting, anyways. However good I get, though, I can never get the patience to plan my work out in advance or use reference photos, and that's why I struggle to add detail.
I sometimes also wonder if I'm missing a degree of emotional connection to my work that, if I had it, would take me further. Except for occasional vent art, my art mostly feels like the application of a technical skill. I couldn't tell you what I was feeling when I made this, other than like, irritation at mistakes, and self-assurance that it was gonna be pretty. What emotion does this piece convey to you, if any?
