The Schuman Files: An Exclusive Interview with MEP Christine Schneider | EU and the Green Deal

#TheSchumanFiles In our Schuman File, "The European Green deal, the EU's flagship climate change buster", we interviewed Christine Schneider, Member of the European Parliament. Join us as we learn more about her role as an MEP, what her beliefs are on the Green Deal, and whether she prefers German cars or trains (hint: it's not looking great for Deutsche Bahn).

If you've been following the European Green Deal or the Nature Restoration Law more specificially, you may already be familiar with MEP Christine Schneider's stance on environmental issues. Being part of the European People's Party - the largest political party within the European Parliament - the conservatives have been skeptical about the Nature Restoration Law since its' unveiling.

Kelly challenges the EPP's stance, wondering if the political party isn't cozying up to European farmers more than consumers. In Schneider's opinion, the European Green Deal needs to function better; it's about working with industry, prioritising security and nature. Nonetheless, whether it's up to consumer behaviour or the laws that are made in the European Union, there's a lot of questions that remain about the European Green Deal. What do you think?

✨Special thanks to MEP Christine Schneider.
