This time:

• Working on finding out our Matrix username, which is surprisingly difficult because the plugins are a long way away from the matrix-connecting parts.
• Managed to set up a 2-way request-response channel for the plugin to talk to the bot framework.

Next time:

• Figure out why my test failed with a stack overflow!
• Actually respond to the request for our username in the bot.
