a song for someone who is very near and dear to me, but lives quite a long way away. enjoy. this also marks the launch of my new musical project, cloudskater. taking inspiration from a bunch of different places, i hope to create mostly dreamy music with emotional lyrics, but in all honesty, this project will become whatever i want it to be. i love pitched up and aggressively pitch corrected vocals, so expect tons of that from here on out. i started work on this song months ago, all the way back on June 29th or thereabouts, but didn't finish writing the verses, recording them, along with mixing and mastering until November 21st as i write this. those aforementioned verses took so long to come to me, but once the creative juices began to flow, it all fit together like a glove. i finished the song today after a long handful of weeks doing nothing but school stuff, so finishing this is my reward for finally getting that out of the way. heck, SpookyFoxInc had the artwork for this track done for me by July 26th, i just hadn't done my part of actually completing it yet. i'm very proud of it though, now that it's out. speaking of that, i want to give a big thank you to SpookyFoxInc for the adorable art you see before you. they did an absolutely fantastic job and i couldn't be happier with how it turned out. it's the cherry on top of the cupcake, to me.
