Welcome!

If you are viewing this video, you have likely been recruited to join the chinafake community! This video will cover everything you need to know about chinafakes, the community, and most importantly why you're here! (Feel free to pause on a slide if you need more time to read it)

First, let's talk about what a chinafake is. Chinafakes are bootleg/offbrand toys (though they aren't always directly ripping off anything in particular) manufactured somewhere in China (though sold all over the world) In other words, FAKES from CHINA. You have been reached out to because we think you would be a good fit for this community, either because you have or at least have access to some, or because you seem interested in them.

Now that we've got that out of the way, let's discuss how YOU can get involved. There are several ways you can contribute to the community, including but not limited to:

• Reselling stock from a store near you
• Collecting
• Researching
• Making wiki pages And much, much more!

There are two main areas the community gathers in;

• The wiki, a repository of information on these toys.
• The Discord server, a place to chat with other members and do research.

I'll tell you how to join both of those places in a second, but first there are a few rules I want to go over.

1. Don't be a jerk. This community prohibits racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. No discrimination of ANYONE based on race, gender, religion, sexual preferences, etc. JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING ISN'T LISTED HERE DOESN'T MEAN IT'S OK TO MAKE FUN OF.

2. No listing snipes. If someone announces they're going to buy a particular listing online, DO NOT PURCHASE IT. If you are going to buy something, announce it and check to make sure no one else was planning on getting it first.

3. No drama. We've had issues with this in the past (hell, even I'm guilty of it) so PLEASE do not bring up existing drama or start new drama within the community. If something a member is doing needs attention or if a member has done something bad in the past, notify a moderator instead of posting it publicly.

4. No doxxing (sharing personal info without consent)

This one is self-explanatory. Fake/joke doxxes (as in a made up IP or location) are fine.

5. Do not harass moderators.

We're all doing our best here, please do not pester us unless the situation is urgent or someone needs immediate removal from the server. If someone is breaking the rules or causing trouble and it is not urgent, notify a moderator once and we will take care of it within 24 hours.

The Discord server can be found at: https://discord.gg/CHVErNV99d If you have a Discord account, you should just be able to join using it. Alternatively, QR codes will be shown in just a moment.
