#amstrad #repair #retro Like I said this is one of the first PC I used at my job when I started to learn Borland Turbo C and I have had a search setup for quite a while. This one was not too far away in Rotheram so just up the M1, but at the time it was snowing so we had to delay the first meetup at a service station.
I do the basic tests, but didn't have a service manual so had to wing it. The keyboard gives me a lot of trouble and the hard drive is stuck.
Some of the information I found along the way. http://www.retroisle.com/amstrad/pcs/general.php https://oldcrap.org/2019/06/27/amstrad-2386-keyboard/ https://www.lo-tech.co.uk/wiki/Servicing_Amstrad_2000_Series_Keyboards https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=68790.0 https://archive.org/details/manual_PC2086_SM_AMSTRAD_EN/mode/1up https://archive.org/details/amstrad-pc-2386-service-manual/page/n1/mode/2up https://winworldpc.com/download/a53c9f57-b78c-11e7-b8e6-fa163e9022f0 http://www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/1264/Amstrad-PC2286-40/ http://www.freetimeweb.nl/home/computer/alt/lawsons-amstrad-computer_site/web.ukonline.co.uk/cliff.lawson/atpcs.htm
