Removing IC's from any retro computer can be tricky. But this Commodore C64 is hiding a nasty trick.

It also proved to be a very tricky repair with Dead Test displaying only a pink screen and no other clues. Using the Oscilloscope provided some hints which eventually led me to the solution. Or possibly blind luck did.
