The game is a first-person perspective base/colony building game, where you play an engineer tasked with building habitats, space taverns, cinemas, greenhouses and many other buildings to support a colony on an alien planet. It's not a simulation, but there's a lot of physics and chemistry used in the game that is more or less accurate including temperature, air pressure, atmospheric content and chemical reactions.
