uploading old videos that i find to have some particular historical/cultural importance. "bitrot" is a phrase that gets thrown around a lot, but bits don't actually rot. accounts just get shut down, servers get replaced. it's easy to lose really, really culturally important stuff just because it was only considered important by a relatively small amount of people. nothing here should be copyrighted, but i've collected this stuff from lots of places over the years and have seen many of the original sources go down and accounts get deleted, meaning that access to these videos (in some cases) is either just completely lost or so obscured that the effort-barrier to finding them again becomes greater than peoples desire to watch them. if you find anything interesting here, I encourage you to download it and host it elsewhere, such that it may proliferate, and these fascinating, relatively niche little cultural gemstones may never be lost.
