USB 3.2 to the new USB4 standards brings major changes to USB power! We will review and understand power delivery standards and their practical impact on the workplace. We will demonstrate how to troubleshoot cables, chargers, and devices using inexpensive USB multimeters. We will demonstrate how to use the FNB58 USB Tester to understand and troubleshoot power delivery problems.

Major changes in power delivery came with USB 3.2 and USB4, and standards like PD 3.0 and 3.1 are now available. 100 watts of power delivery with USB 3.2 and over 240 watts of power with USB4. The USB type-C connector is now the official and only connector that USB new standards allow.
