00:00 How to find your belt size 00:48 The What and Why 01:49 Thank you
The most common question we get is, how do I find my belt size? And it's much easier than you might think. Hey guys, thanks for your interest in our handmade leather belts. You can start with any belt you might have. You're taking note of which hole you land on when you're wearing it properly through your loops and you are going to measure from the tip of the buckle to the hole that you landed on.
Find the inches, subtract five from that number and that is the pant size. So if the tip of the buckle to the hole that you're landing on is 37 inches, like nine, I'm going to subtract five and I'm going to choose 32 pant size on the drop down menu on our website listing. If you don't have access to a belt that you can wear, you can use a soft tape or you can even pull a piece of string through the belt loops. That's important, through the belt loops and then measure what the end to end is. If you measure 40 inches, you're going to subtract five and you're going to choose a 35 pant size and that's how to get a perfect fitted belt.
You might be tempted to rush this process, but we would encourage you to take the moment and get the right measurement for a perfect fitted belt the first time. It'll save you frustration and we'll all be a lot happier. Finding the right belt size with crafts and lore is a lot easier than some folks think. If sizing was done wrong, then you've added another week onto the process and it's always worth a bit of effort in exchange for a lifetime belt that arrives properly fitting the first time. The difference has to do with your true waist and converting it down to vanity sizing as the industry calls it.
Vanity sizing can fluctuate based on who the maker is. Even though 32 might fit you from one brand, it might not fit you as good from another brand. So take vanity sizing with a grain of salt. So we are using our vanity sizing and it's very similar to Levi's and a 32 pant is what you buy from Levi's. Then choose our 32 and you'll get a perfect fit.
If your measurement includes a half inch, it's safer just to round up. So if you measured 36 and a half, just round it up to 37, subtract five and choose the 32 pant size on the drop down. Thank you for watching our belt sizing guide. We hope it answers your questions and that you're able to get your order in with confidence, knowing it's going to fit on a rifle.
