Following “The Last Strawberry”, “Before Long”, and “Sometimes”, this is the fourth in a series of single releases, later to form the album “Sounds Like Home”. All the songs on the album include one or more sounds made with things commonly found in people’s homes. With the song “Babu Menos”, release on July 1, 2022, these things are the four doors of a built-in storage cupboard in the entry. Besides those, I also played acoustic guitars, acoustic bass and performed all vocals.

The footage shows part of my instrument collection, starting with the Indian harmonium (far left) and panning over some percussion instruments, most of my guitars including the electric five-string bass, lots of flutes on the wall, including the Japanese shakuhachi (third from left) and, on the table, a Sequential Circuits Drumtraks drum machine, a Korg Poly-800 rack synthesiser, Line 6 Bass POD and Guitar POD, a Thai sueng, an African handheld harp, a Eastern European fiddle, some zithers, and lots of small pieces of percussion and other sound-generating things. (Yes, the boxes do contain more instruments. I am not a particularly neat and/or organised person.)
