An American military driver with a Y plated vehicle passed two bicyclists and a parked car while playing chicken with a Japanese driver near Hamura Station in Western Tokyo. Just because there is a parked car or slow moving vehicles in your lane doesn't give you the right to force cars in the oncoming lane to stop or slow down for you. The law requires that you yield when passing obstacles that are on your side of the road. If the Japanese lady hadn't slowed down for the American in the blue car, he would have been forced to hit her head on or push back over into my lane and sideswipe me. This is why I have a camera. If some fool like him hits me and drives off, I will have it on video.
