This is my submission for the @loopop contest (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYJrT_WASes).
All project files (Polyend & Audacity files) can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1F9dFor0ihfn0BZwEgUVN9JX_mkSR2Gt5
I've created this track on my recently acquired @Polyend Tracker using only samples supplied by Loopop. This is one of my first tracks made on the Tracker, it's an awesome machine which somehow brings back memories of hours behind an Amiga with ProTracker from years ago ;)
As usually I started playing with the supplied samples. This time on the Tracker. I made a few tracks and decided this one was the 'best'. The other ones were more advanced in usage of the Tracker (like using chance a lot to create a generative like track), but ultimately this track felt right to me. It's quite a simple track with just a few samples. The main focus is the Hydrasynth.
I've exported the project tracks & used Audacity to make some small changes (panning, limiter etc) and rendered my final mix. The visuals are from a NASA reel & re-editted to match my 'vision' for this track.
The title is taken from the poem with the same title by Richard Brautigan.
All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace
I like to think (and the sooner the better!) of a cybernetic meadow where mammals and computers live together in mutually programming harmony like pure water touching clear sky.
I like to think (right now please!) of a cybernetic forest filled with pines and electronics where deer stroll peacefully past computers as if they were flowers with spinning blossoms.
I like to think (it has to be!) of a cybernetic ecology where we are free of our labors and joined back to nature, returned to our mammal brothers and sisters, and all watched over by machines of loving grace.

PS: My preferred prizes, if I happen to be selected as a finalist, would be the Soma Cosmos, Lyra-8 or Zoia.
