The bio-poetic and biochemical installation ‘Tree ID – how to become a tree for another tree’ is a result of a long-lasting research in which people use scent to communicate with a tree. In the project the volatile organic compounds (VOC) of a selected tree are gathered and synthesized into a perfume, which the visitors can apply to their body and with this speculatively enter non-verbal communication between the plant and man.
