I covered Justin Moore's If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away and made the lyrics my own and very personal to me. I had a ton of people past away, the most recent a week ago.

Hello! I'm Alesha (some know me as Silky Slick). I've been practicing covers with Blu Blu, my guitar for performing! I started seriously playing the guitar 6 months ago. I have many more covers coming! Just for the record: I dislike noise in my recordings!!!!! I dislike the ambulance and cars in my jam. The birds are nice. I got to prepare for other gigs. So I'll potentially redo this in Kentucky, Tennessee or Georgia when I head down (WITH LESS NOISE HOPEFULLY GEEZ). I thought it be a good idea to do a cover outside.

Every day I drive to work across that Indianapolis road A hundred yards from the spot where we kicked it There's a piece of his piano on Crittenden Road He'd be there playing that piano if it was just a few weeks ago ago And what I wouldn't give To ride around in that old car with him

If heaven wasn't so far away I'd pack up the bags and go for the day Find and hug my grandpas Watch 'em laugh at the way they talk I'd find my long lost cousin The ones that died in 2014 Show her a picture of her grandchild now Her son a father and she'd be proud Then tell them we'd be back in a couple of days In the rear view mirror we'd all watch 'em wave Yeah, and losing them wouldn't be so hard to take If heaven wasn't so far away

I'd hug all the people that I lost, it be a long line, more than 9 And I'd find my cat and hug her one more time I'd ask my other cuz why he walked in front of a car that night And Andrew to dance those moves for me, ask Alex to work one more retreat Sit on a cloud and visit for a while It'd do me good just to see them smile.
