My work provides an optimistic view of technology’s role in shaping our identity and relationships with each other. The subjects are strangers to me, just as they are to the viewer of the finished work. Being a visual artist, I use my eyes to learn about the person, and in the process find commonalities between us. Knitting (a form of binary code) is included because of its continuous flow of fibers that mirrors our interconnectedness as people. These pieces are created using new and old machines. Incorporating technology in the process reflects my life with metal implants; as I am a balance between organic and inorganic so should my art. #drawing #art #knitting #digitalart #creativereels #digitalartforbeginners #arttiktoks #artandcraft #artist #knittingforbeginners #knittingmachine #knittingdesigns #drawingdog #dogdrawing #artstudio #artstudiotour #portraitart #womandrawing #mandrawing #lifedrawing

5 things I love about this knitting machine. This knitting machine was made in the 70’s itis the Studio 360 with the Studio SRP-50 Ribber. Here are 5 things I love about this machine. It can read punchcards. It’s so cool each sheet has a design punched in this cards and the machine will automatically rotate it and select the needles for each color. It has a build in knit leader. With this I can literally draw out my garment design and it will advance as I knit making it very easy to figure out where I am in the piece. This machine does all of this without electricity. Which is so nice because you have more flexibility as to where you use it but also it’s much easier to problem solve. It has a ribber so I can knit in the round and do more complex designs It shows signs of love from previous owners. I get inspired sharing an interest with previous generations.
