Test how camera setup works for touristic recordings from a higher perspective.
- Seems like people accept it more than I expected. But could be also a Leipzig thing.
- Footage was shorter than expected. Makes me think I don't need to pack so much disk storage.
- More embarrassing than anticipated.
- Post production quite annoying. The software is finicky under linux wine and some transitions are hard set on doing a 360, even after multiple changes in the timeline.
- Just transcoding with h264 was really fast but big. AV1 needed like an hour of loud fan noise and probably can't be done in the evening while sleeping, but results in a much smaller file (5.2GB vs 827MB). Platform only has limited space, so space focused encoding it is.
- Quite happy that I gone with the modular setup. If I would only have the 360 lens module and not also the 4k single lens as an alternative, I would probably be annoyed by the quality. So it is a choice, which makes it fine for me.
