(1) All Germans have the right to form associations and societies. (2) Groups whose purposes or activities violate criminal laws or oppose the constitutional order or the idea of international understanding are prohibited. (3) The right to form associations to protect and promote working and economic conditions is guaranteed for everyone and all professions. Agreements that restrict or hinder this right are invalid, and measures aimed at this are unlawful.
