I'm not sure how many of you are aware, (or if this is your first time watching one of my videos, welcome!) but I actually travel quite a bit for acting projects and to connect with other musicians. I love finding them all over!

Along with being a musician, I'm also into acting in films, commercials, and tv shows. When I'm in shoots, a lot of times I can't talk about the project publicly until it's released. Ask any Star Wars or This Is Us actor about the plot of the story. Notice how they don't say anything (or play like they don't hear the question).

This is one of the haunted houses I was apart of called Thirteenth Hour during Fall of 2017. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. I'm just now uploading this because I've been busy with other acting and music projects (and during my breaks uploading food on Instagram).

So during my projects my phone did the coolest thing: It made a food video of potato tots on my phone!

I'm a HUGE FOODIE. On my Instagram @aleshampeterson I post a ton of food all the time. To see this made me smile hard. It was short but sweet.

In fact, this haunted house was so successful that we were interviewed by the local channel Wish TV in Indianapolis. It was the first year of it happening and I was excited to be apart of it.

Tag teaming between this haunted house and others in different states during the season was a little tricky but I enjoyed doing it.

If I'm not filming a television series or movie, I will definitely do this again.

I honestly wonder how the support for artists is being in Indianapolis, and like Chreece, being apart of this project brought my hopes up. Being in other cities like Chicago, Miami, LA, Atlanta, Nashville and other places I notice it's a different conversation. If I tell people in cities like LA, New York or Miami I'm an musician and actress it's like:

COOLLLLL.

Or I know some actresses and musicians let me connect you.

But in Indy? More like crickets. Many of them have a perception of what they think a real job is, and it doesn't fit into the 9 to 5 dynamic. Or the famous, I couldn't get paid to be creative so how do you do it conversation.

SO it best as creative types to just do it and don't waste time trying to seek their understanding, approval or support (even if this includes your family and friends, who sometimes try to talk you out of your dreams and to take the safe path). Just be successful in it! And if you have their support? KEEP IT AND DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANTED.

How is your scene in your city? I hear different things about Indianapolis being in both acting and music (and I've been doing some work in other cities like I said above).
